BI Analyst – Cognos in San Diego, CA

3- 5 yrs experience with Cognos 8x. Must have extensive Report Studio development experience with some experience modeling with Cognos Framework Manager, building & refresh cubes in Cognos Transformer, SQL & MDX concepts.

Experience with Cognos SDK (using Java, C# or VB.net) / Oracle Apps/ Oracle Discoverer/ ETL (OWB)/ PL/ SQL and gathering user requirements a plus.

Cognos report developer

Runding Corporation is looking for a contract relationship with an experienced Cognos report developer. There is potential for this to be a full time employee relationship if interested. Initially work would not be full time. Limited travel may be required with all expenses being paid by Runding.

Runding is a small consulting firm that implements and maintains Meridian Systems Proliance application. This software from Meridian is the Infrastructure Lifecycle Management (ILM) solution that allows infrastructure-intensive organizations to optimize the Plan-Build-Operate project lifecycle for complex capital projects, construction and real estate programs, and extensive facility portfolios.

Job will include

-Design, implement, and deploy data models to support multiple clients
- Develop, publish, and deploy analysis cubes according to business requirements.
- Develop and deploy reports according to user requirements.
- Identify inefficiencies in current reports and data model
- Develop and maintain client and internal documentation
- Provide user support for client in the development and maintenance reports.

Requirements:
- At least 4 years experience in design and development using Cognos BI platform, Business Intelligence tools, Framework Manager, Report Studio, Query studio, etc.
- Experience in data architecture and modeling
- Excellent technical support documentation skills
- Experience working in a collaborative environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skill
